What’s New Wednesday

I’ve been working hard this week filling orders and finishing custom totems/necklaces for the holidays, but I’ve got several new jewelry pieces and a few unique totems to share today.

I also finished some really fun custom totems this week.  Here’s a horse named Mojave (what a perfect name!). He’s my third horse yet, first as a custom pet totem. Don’t you love his freckles?!

And *drumroll* I’m so excited to share this awesome pair of custom cat ornaments I just finished. They are for Devon Sioui, the artist whose painting I received recently (it’s here in case you missed it).  I’m so happy with how these totems came out; it was fun sculpting my first “extra beefy” cat, and I enjoyed the little details like making their tails intertwined when they sit together.  So cute.

Stay tuned for my 6 month Etsyversary celebration!  Technically I opened by shop 6 months ago today, but I consider the 20th my Etsyversary because that’s when I listed my very first item. Celebration details will be posted this coming Sunday!

Resin and Totems in Progress

Here are my current totems, ready to be painted. Several are custom orders but some are fresh goodies that will be available in the shop very soon (hippo necklace, giraffe totem, black cat totem, slow loris necklace, shark necklace, and two new earring sets!)  I’ll let you guess what they are. And if you haven’t seen a slow loris before, you must see this video.

I’ve also been working with resin again.  Until this point I’ve had a pretty frustrating time with resin, but I’m determined to make it work because it’s so versatile and awesome.  I recently deactivated my illustration brooch listings, because I’m upgrading them with a resin coating.  I think it looks a lot better (when it’s done correctly, at least).  I ordered some new supplies and should be getting them in this week, and I’m hoping those will help with more consistent results. *fingers crossed*

le animalé – What’s New?

le animalé stud earrings are here, hooray!

The first of le animalé stud earrings are available for sale: le fox and le honey badger.  Won’t they look darling paired with your autumn cardigans and boots?  Each pair is made especially for you for $36 and takes 4-5 days to complete & ship out.

More animals will be making their stud-ly debuts very soon, so keep an eye out for le owl, le wolf, le ferret, and le red panda over the next several days.  And if you have an animal suggestion, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message!
